How to take interesting photos of children -1

Thanks to the smart phones and age of technology, we take dozens of photos everyday. We take pictures of almost everything. Taking photos of objects can be much easier but children photography can be a lot challenging. Taking a good photo of a little kid who doesn’t stop moving for a second is not an easy task at all. We will give you a few hints on how to take quality and natural photos of kids and babies.

  1. Choose the right time of the day

In general, photos taken in the morning and evening are better but this is for adults. If a baby or a kid will be photographed things change. Kids have different needs like feeding, cleaning, play time, sleep time and these have different times for every kid. If your child is in a good mood, try to take her photo, if she doesn’t want it, don’t force her to pose. Of course many a fun and exciting moment can be caught without preparation but if you want to prepare first, then plan it according to your child’s day.

  1. Create an atmosphere and indulge your child in it

Kids are the embodiment of happiness and it’s important to catch it in photos. Of course many a unique and interesting photo happens by itself. It’s important to remember organize your photos. When’s your child most happy? When he’s having fun! Go to a park or garden with your child and play together. If you have more than one child, encourage them to play together outside so you can become a true photographer. Try to stay hidden while taking pictures and avoid distracting your kids’ concentration.

  1. Posing

Posing for a picture is not always the best. And it loses importance even more when the subject is a kid who is constantly on the move and can easily be distracted. Besides, kids usually don’t look natural when asked to pose. Keep them natural. Pose photos can be useful with older kids. These photos shed light onto your child’s character. Think about the joy of looking at these photos together many years from now!

  1. Get onto your child’s level

Of course we’re talking about height, not intellectual level. Don’t forget that kids are much smaller than adults. So it’s worth crouching for a better angle and frame. You can even lie down on the ground. A good quality photo of your child is worth everything. Sometimes it’s also a good idea to take a photo from bird’s view – it can differ according to circumstance, so be creative!

  1. Focus on the eyes!

Eyes are the mirror of soul, everybody knows that. Especially an innocent child’s eyes. Because of this, it’s important to focus on the eyes when taking the photo of a child. Don’t mind if the background gets blurred. Remember this simple rule and you will notice your photos getting better.
